2013 Cadillac ATS Start of production
The first model designed for the sale of luxury compact sedan 2013 Cadillac ATS was built for several days at the assembly plant in Lansing Grand River. This culminated in a massive project design and development company which has worked for the past years.
This model is expected to reach U.S. dealerships starting this August. The Cadillac ATS is the new entry and has a renewed drive system on the rear wheels, which makes this, model a fast and fun to drive.
The Lansing Grand River factory, which is also the birthplace of the Cadillac CTS sedan, wagon and coupe, and the V-Series models, went through a renewal of $ 190 million to produce the compact sedan. Thus was added a second day of work per day, which in turn led to the creation or retention of 600 jobs. In total, this factory which opened in 2001 now has 1.643 employees.
"The new Cadillac ATS is an investment in Lansing and in our workforce," said Tony Francavilla, regional manager of the factory. "A successful launch requires a large production process and a better product. However, in the center of it all are people and care put into each of the vehicles. "
The Cadillac ATS expands into the largest category within the luxury market. Once you begin distribution in the United States from August, these models are exported to international markets later this year.
This model was made to order using a new architecture made of ultra lightweight materials and advanced techniques to ensure accurate driving dynamics. The ATS will include a series of advanced technology including Magnetic Ride Control, Alert Safety Seat, and CUE, a new experience in connectivity and control to manage various functions in the car via voice or touch.
